Messaging, Location, and Privacy Protections for Minors

ParPro builds in several protections for young golfers by default.

Messaging

• •Children under 13 cannot send or receive direct messages without parental consent
• •For teens, depending on age, messaging may require your prior consent or may simply trigger a notification to you when it happens
• •When a coach or instructor messages a minor, those messages may be visible to parents and may trigger a parent notification. This transparent-messaging approach is aligned with SafeSport guidance

Location

Location-based features are disabled for all users under 18. No exceptions.

Leaderboards

Unless you've granted public-visibility consent, your child appears on public leaderboards only as first name + last initial, with no photo.

Message Retention

Messages are retained for 2 years for safety purposes, as described in our Terms of Service. This supports investigations if a safety concern is ever raised.
