How Parent Verification Works (KWS)

ParPro uses Kids Web Services (KWS) to verify parents. KWS is a subsidiary of Epic Games and is certified under two FTC-approved COPPA Safe Harbor programs - it's a trusted, widely used service built specifically for this purpose.

Choose One of Three Methods

On the KWS Parent Gateway, you pick whichever is easiest for you:

  1. Personal ID register - confirm your identity against an ID record
  2. Payment card verification - U.S. parents see a $0.50 hold that is refunded within 8-13 business days; outside the U.S. a small temporary authorization is placed and released within 30 business days. Either way, there is no net cost to you
  3. Facial age estimation - take a quick selfie that estimates you are an adult

What ParPro Sees (and Doesn't)

ParPro only ever sends KWS your email address, and we receive back only the verified-or-not result. We never see your ID, your card details, or your photo.

What Is AgeGraph?

KWS hashes your email into its "AgeGraph" network, so once you've verified, you won't need to re-verify for other apps that use KWS. Questions or rights requests about AgeGraph go directly to KWS at https://parents.kidswebservices.com/.
